Write to us if you are a traveler and something looks wrong, if you are a business and want your listing, or if you want information removed or corrected.
If your business is listed and you do not want to be, write to us and we will remove it. You do not need to explain why.
Privacy
This is what the site actually stores. It was written by reading the code, not copied from a template.
What we store
- If you create an account: your name, your email, your password (hashed, never in plain text) and, if you provide it, your WhatsApp. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email and name from them.
- If you list a business or an event: the details you type into the form, which are public by their nature (it is a directory listing).
- Site usage: which pages are viewed and which contact buttons are tapped, with an anonymous session id, the language and the referring site. It is used to tell each business how many people reached them. We do not use Google Analytics or social-media pixels: the measurement is ours and lives on our server.
- Cookies: three, none of them advertising — the session cookie (to keep you signed in), the anti-forgery security cookie, and the one for the language you chose.
Who it is shared with
- Stripe, if a business pays for a plan: the payment happens at Stripe and card details never pass through this site nor are stored here.
- Google and Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them.
- OpenStreetMap, which serves the maps and therefore sees the map request.
- With no one else. We do not sell or hand over personal data.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, and to close your account. Write to us on WhatsApp or at the email above and we will do it. If you delete your account we delete your personal data; any business listings you published are removed or left unclaimed, whichever you prefer.
Terms of use
- The directory is free for travelers and no account is needed to use it. The account is only for saving favorites and receiving alerts.
- Information is provided as is. Hours, prices and deals change without telling us: confirm them with the business before you go. When a deal comes from the business's own channel, we tell you where from and give you the link so you can check it yourself.
- We are not a party to what you book. The deal is between you and the business; we take no commission on what you spend and do not act as an intermediary.
- Being listed is free. Paid plans buy visibility and tools, not preferential treatment in the information: the verification seal is not for sale.
- What you publish is yours and you are responsible for it. By publishing a listing or an event you give us permission to display it on the site and our channels. We remove anything false, offensive or unrelated to Puerto Escondido.
- We may change these terms. If a change is significant we will say so on this page.
