Very soon, this space will tell the stories of Puerto Escondido families: who they are, what they give to their community every day — their work, their craft, their care for others — and also what they need. Not as anonymous charity, but as what it really is: real neighbors, with real stories, who can be supported directly.
Each story will state clearly how to help: direct donations, fundraising events, or concrete efforts (materials, time, skills). The goal is simple: whoever wants to help knows exactly where to direct their support, and that support arrives whole.
This initiative extends the social commitment that sustains this directory. 10% of our net profits supports the Explora tu Potencial (ETP) project: a regular and special education center in Brisas de Zicatela with free therapeutic care for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions, already offering free consultations to local families.
The family stories are the natural next step: many of the families ETP supports — and many others in Puerto — have needs beyond therapy: housing, health, work tools, education. Making them visible with dignity lets the community, and the travelers who love this place, direct resources where they truly change a life.
