A hidden beach at the end of three kilometers of dirt road: three stretches of sand, two little bays closed off by big rocks and one open-ocean front. In the bays the water is clear and calm, for swimming and watching fish; the open stretch is where the wave breaks when swell comes in, with current and rocky bottom. Almost always empty.

Getting there
Highway 200 east; shortly after El Tomatal a small “El Puertecito” sign points right, and from there it is 3 km of dirt road to the beach. Forty minutes from downtown; the road gets rough in the rain.

In high season there are palapas serving food; the rest of the year bring everything. Swim only in the bays, never on the open stretch. To surf it, go with someone who knows the rocks.
